A United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket launches the EchoStar 19 communications satellite to provide high-speed Internet services across North America. The rocket flies in the 431 vehicle configuration with a four-meter fairing, three solid rocket boosters and a single-engine Centaur upper stage. Liftoff occurred at 2:13 p.m. EDT after a short delay due to a technical issue.
