March 12, 2015 - A United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket launched NASA's Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) mission from pad 41, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The MMS mission used four identical spacecraft, variably spaced in Earth orbit, to make three-dimensional measurements of magnetospheric boundary regions and examine the process of magnetic reconnection. The rocket flew in the 421 vehicle configuration with a four-meter fairing, two solid rocket boosters and a single-engine Centaur upper stage.

Photo taken from the Exploration Tower area at the port - about 12.5 miles from launch pad.
