Excerpts from spacex.com: On Wednesday, January 8 at 10:27 a.m. ET, Falcon 9 launched 21 Starlink satellites, including 13 with Direct to Cell capabilities, to low-Earth orbit from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
This was the third flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched GOES-U and now two Starlink missions.
SpaceX reused the Falcon 9 first stage booster, tail number B1086, on this flight. It previously served as one of two Falcon Heavy side boosters on the GOES-U mission in June 2024 and then on Starlink 12-5 in December.
A little more than eight minutes after liftoff, B1086 landed on the droneship, A Shortfall of Gravitas. The successful touchdown marked the 93rd booster landing on ASOG and the 393rd booster landing to date.
