June 15, 2007 - An Atlas 5 rocket blasts off from Cape Canaveral AirForce Station's Pad 41 at 11:12 a.m. The rocket, with a pair of top-secret ocean surveillance satellites, is on a classified mission for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office. A launch attempt the previous day was scrubbed due to a problem with the command destruct system.

Photos taken from Port Canaveral - a distance of 11.5 miles.
