April 14, 2015- A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket blasted off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Launch Complex 40 at 4:10 p.m. EDT on the sixth of its 12 resupply missions.

Atop Falcon is the Dragon spacecraft with more than 4,000 pounds of supplies and equipment for the space station.

The first stage executed a series of maneuvers after separation, in an attempt to land on a floating platform 200 miles off the coast of Florida. The stage did reach the platform, but landed hard and was destroyed. First stage can be seen maneuvering in photos 11 - 15. These last few images were barely visible to the naked eye.

Photos taken from Port Canaveral; a distance of 10 miles from the launch pad.
