May 6, 2016 - A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launches from SLC-40, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station with the JCSAT 14 communications satellite for Tokyo-based SKY Perfect JSAT Corp.
JCSAT 14 will support data networks, television broadcasters and mobile communications users in Japan, East Asia, Russia, Oceania, Hawaii and other Pacific islands.
Launch photos taken from the Exploration Tower area at the port - about 12.5 miles from launch pad.
After successfully landing at sea on the SpaceX drone ship, the Falcon 9 first stage returned to Port Canaveral to begin it's inspection and testing for possible reuse.
