On October 5, 2022 at 12:00:56 p.m. EDT, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket with a Crew Dragon spacecraft on its eighth flight with astronauts from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center. NASA astronauts Nicole Mann, Josh Cassada, Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata, and Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina launched on the Crew Dragon spacecraft to begin a six-month expedition on the International Space Station.

Following stage separation, the Falcon 9 booster touched down on SpaceX’s drone ship Just Read the Instructions positioned in the Atlantic Ocean.
