30 August 2012 - An Atlas 5 rocket blasts off from Cape Canaveral's Pad 41 at 4:05 a.m. EDT with NASA's Radiation Belt Storm Probes which will take unprecedented measurements inside the hearts of the radiation belts.
Photos taken from Port Canaveral - a distance of 11.5 miles.
